Samantha's Baptism

At the end of the party the Godfather -in this case my husband Gus-throws what is called "bolo", -coins to the children who attended the celebration- it is ment to be done outside the church when mass is over, but given the circumstances that this was a collective service with over 30 children, and due to safety reasons it is better to do it at the party.

the children have attended several baptisms allready, see how some know to cover their heads to avoid getting hit with the coins : )

all the kids anxious to get the their hands on something sweet...

THE CUPCAKES ...

I ended up not using the fondant crosses but only these round scalloped ones with the cross stamped, just because the cross was too large for the small cupcakes. These were an excellent compliment to the cake that was purchased which was also beautiful and very yummi.

THE INVITATIONS . . .

I have always been inclined to do pink for girls but when the Godmother said she preferred silver I was hesitant but it turned out a perfect combination...both invitations were embellished with rhinestones, vellum paper and organza ribbon.

THE GOWN . . .

The beautiful gown was purchased on Etsy, it is the simplest thing but yet so beautiful, I made the rest of the attire -diaper cover, bib, mitts and shoes-in a white cotton/linen blend and lace to match the gown.

everything was packaged nicely and adorned with antique lace and a porcelain cross

embroidered with a cross and her name (Tita hand stitched it in @ 30 minutes!!!)
